Sorghum History
One of nature's best kept secrets, sorghum is an ancient, gluten-free supergrain that has been enjoyed globally for centuries. Never genetically modified and high in nutritional value, sorghum is loaded with unsaturated fats, protein, vitamins, fiber, minerals, and high antioxidants.
A smaller, healthier alternative to popcorn, popped sorghum brings the same delicious taste with noteworthy nutrition benefits and no harsh hulls in every bite.
Nature’s best kept secret, sorghum grows naturally in the wild all across the globe, even in the US.
Known as the camel of the crops, sorghum requires very little water to grow, making it a sustainable crop for farmers and the planet alike.
Sorghum is especially valued in hot and arid regions for its resistance to drought and heat.
Our team was introduced to popped sorghum in our Grandmothers’ kitchens. Popped in a traditional format on the stove and seasoned with a mix of Indian spices. A bowl was finished almost as soon as it was made.
Over time, we began to share our love for this dangerously addicting snack with our friends. Soon the love for this new and unique “mini popcorn” was shared by all. We can’t wait to bring the same to you!
